What a day!  125 sea bass in the 3-5lb range.  Many double and triple headers.  Had our limit for the 5 man charter by 11am.

FAT CAT is a 34FT Catamaran designed to cut though
rough water with superior performance and unmatched
stability. The Vessel is equipped with all the latest
electronics, safety equipment and most importantly
state of the art fishing tackle. Our tackle is custom
built using top of the line rods and reels. Extensive
use is made of lures, teasers and various bait rigs
ensuring the very best fishing. FAT CAT is powered by
twin 370 hp Cummins diesels allowing cruising speeds
of up to 30 knots and a 3 1/2 hour ride to Canyon
(conditions permitting). A large rear deck with plenty
of fishing area complement the vessel which is also
equipped with a cabin complete with toilet, shower and
fully room to sleep up to six people.

"Trip of a Lifetime" Fat Cat Crew Rescues Boat in Hudson Canyon

I have to say on the FAT CAT we have had many excellent trips/adventures over the years and our modo is "It's Not Just a Fishing Trip It's an Adventure".

Well on the night of 08/12/08 I would have to say was a trip of a lifetime.  FAT CAT just happened to be in the right place at the right time and were able to save 5 great guys that I will consider friends for life.

Challenge. Fat Cat's 1st place fish was a 550lb
Thresher shark and Fat Cat's 5th place shark was a
251lb Mako shark.
